Geomatics: past and future
The ASITA 2021 conference will provide a moment for assessing the latest developments of the survey sciences that evolved to what is now known as Geomatics, in particular the theoretical and technical aspects related to instrumentations and applications.
Participants are invited to discuss and evaluate past and recent changes that allowed to increase capabilities of methods and tools for processing and analysis of surveyed objects and related phenomena.
ASITA proposes to revisit past key work in light of recent technological and computational scientific progress.
The objective is to foster new ideas from a critical constructive analysis of past efforts, to look at a future that can be improved and planned from such activity.
In this context the Italian Society for Surveying and Photogrammetry (SIFET) will celebrate its 70th anniversary, testimonial and protagonist of the birth of Geomatics.
Proceedings in Springer “Communications in Computer and Information Science Series – CCIS”
Springer has formally accepted to publish a selection of contributions as Proceedings of ASITA Conference 2021 (#ASITA2021), including them in the series “Communications in Computer and Information Science” (CCIS). The CCIS proceedings volume dedicated to ASITA will be published by Springer and SCOPUS indexed. High quality and scientific soundness are required for all papers to be included in the Proceedings. Each corresponding author receive reviewer feedbacks of the proposed manuscript.
The authors will revise their paper as per the feedbacks and will send them by OCS system, which will be available soon.
According to reviewer’s suggestions authors can also expand their manuscript (>12 pages, 400 words per page), which must be sent within the deadline to be considered for publication in CCIS Proceedings.
Authors should consult Springer’s authors’ guidelines and use their proceedings templates, either for LaTeX or for Word, for the preparation of their papers. Springer encourages authors to include their ORCIDs in their papers. In addition, the corresponding author of each paper, acting on behalf of all of the authors of that paper, must complete and sign a Consent-to-Publish form. The corresponding author signing the copyright form should match the corresponding author marked on the paper. Once the files have been sent to Springer, changes relating to the authorship of the papers cannot be made.

Authors should also consider that an anti-plagiarism tool will be used for each submitted manuscript.
