Founding Associates

The four founding Associates, mentioned in order of foundation, are:
• SIFET – Società Italiana di Topografia e Fotogrammetria, representing ISPRS (International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) for Italy
• AIC – Associazione Italiana di Cartografia representing ICA (International Cartographic Association) for Italy
• AIT – Associazione Italiana di Telerilevamento, since 1996 Associate Member of ISPRS
• AM/FM/GIS Italia – Automated Mapping/Facilities Management/ Geographic Information Systems/Italia, representing EUROGI (European Umbrella for Geographic Information) for Italy

The named Associations are no profit organizations, including together more than 2700 members in Italy, distributed among institutes of research (University, VNR, ENEA), the sector of production, both public and private (Cartographic Services of the State), the public administration (Ministry, Regions, Provinces, Municipalities) and the services.
